On
January 31st
we
had a leadership strategy session. Even though the
weather was terrible we had an excellent turnout and
good participation. The leadership reviewed the
survey and we reached a consensus on many
points.
The general feeling was that this first leadership
strategy meeting was a good start. The next step is
to open it up to the chapter membership therefore we
are calling a special brainstorming strategy meeting
on April 17th with a Moderator at
Beggars Pizza in Oak Forest..
The April 17th
Meeting was very successful! A couple of
good ideas that came out for the future is that the
University or Church Model would be a good model for
the chapter to follow because we have many
"communities" within the Chapter that we need to
serve, a member said over 300 specific interest have
been identified. A couple good examples of specific
communities would be:
-
1. The
Networking Group that Ted is Championing.
-
2. The Brain
Trust or Practice Management Group that Paul and
Kathy are Championing.
-
3. The monthly
Meeting which is a community within itself of a
solid core of 30-100 people attending.
-
4. We need
a develop a Technology Group.
-
5. Need to
identify and serve the diverse mix of our
area population.
A
comment stated was that the Chapter should be an
Enabler for the Members, not a Controller or a vendor
of services.
This conversation
and strategy thinking needs to continue and our next
President Sue Riodan is interesting in continuing
it.
