“A new entity type, the series LLC, has arrived in Illinois”

Effective on August 16, 2005, series LLC were permitted to be formed under Illinois law.  Series LLC provide a company with greater limited liability protection than other entity types.  Given this significant advantage, many of your employers or clients will want to conduct their operations as series LLCs.

This seminar will prepare you to answer the questions of your company or clients about series LLCs.  You will learn from an experienced attorney and CPA how series LLCs are formed, maintained, and operated.  In addition, you will learn how you must account for their operations and prepare their taxes.  Stay up-to-date on this important new development in Illinois.

The presenter of this seminar is Debra J. Tucker.  She is a CPA and an attorney who represents businesses and accountants in civil litigation.  Debra has been an instructor for the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and has appeared as a legal expert on WGN-TV Chicago and FOX News.  Debra graduated with honors from the University of Chicago Law School.  She is the founder of The Tucker Firm, LLC and formerly practiced law with the international law firm of Kirkland and Ellis.  Debra received a B.S. in Accountancy from the University of Illinois and graduated Bronze Tablet with a perfect 5.0 GPA.  On the CPA examination, she was awarded the Illinois Bronze Medal and the National Elijah Watt Sells Award.  Before practicing law, she practiced as a CPA with PriceWaterhouse in New York City.
